Workplace bullying, harassment and retaliation against employee who reports any incident in “Cadence Design System, Noida”
I was surprized to get to know about the reality of the work environment of “Cadence Design System, Noida“. The way HR describe their work culture was like a bubble which burst for me during the “so called orientation program EAP“, as my manager was approached by HR, since I asked a question about an unclear policy. I will soon share detailed description of how certain managers & HR exploit individual employees when they do not bend their knees to some unreasonable demand. I have many evidence(enough to create a documentary) which I wish I could post on public platform so that other individuals won’t have to go through the same sufferings which I had to face at this organization.
I tried to report the incident as it was affecting me mentally, since my manager continuously kept using offensive & disrespectful language with me during weekly 1-1 ? Why beacsue I choose to select work from home as long as it was voluntury, she wanted me to come to office as she chooses to. At many occasions she sounded disturbed (not normal), the moment you disagree with her, she will get totally annoyed and do anything to direct insult at you. I initially tried to speak with her about it to de-escalate the situation, but it didn’t stop(I recorded few discussions later, which any neutral person will find very disturbing and way beyond the professional boundary).
HR accepted managers fault verbally, not officially(They stopped responding to my communication)
Here are few observations:
Employees are promised voluntry work from office during interview but later forced by managers with indirect/direct threats to come and work from office
When you will come to office, you will find out that there is no covid guidelines followed due to lack of care by management/HR during pandemic. No mask, no social distancing, no sanitization or care to avoid infection(on doors/lifts).
Managers force(pressurize directly/indirectly) emploee to return from leave when he/she is covid+Ve
Manager will repeatedly calls employee only to pressurize him to return as early as possible(declaring his case as mild covid symptom, considering he is taking treatment at home and not in the hospital). Also, by being irresponsive towards his onborading/KT and explicitly telling him that it will start only when he starts coming to office
How HR collude with unethical managers(offenders) to supress voice of an employee
How no official record of employee’s complaint is created, no process or official communication, everything is kept verbal to further harass the employee
How employee is mentally tortured and isolated from the rest of the team members
I tried to fight against the unethical practices until I realized there are people in the system supporting it
One will be surprized to hear how HR speaks and manipulates or try to manipulate the employee reporting such incidents, they have lied on so mnay occasions and kept speaking with the offender in this case to help her and suppress my voice.
I had no intention to write about my employer in the public domain or put conversations of managers/HRs in public which will cause real embarassment for the Organization but I have no other choice or way of making the guilty people face justice.
I could have initiated legal action against the company, but considering the time our law takes I will also ensure that higher leadership in this organization gets to know what is happening under their nose. When the truth will be in public domain then only such HRs/mangers will feel answerable and held accountable.
